Eria appendiculata

Commonly found in Malaysian, jungles. at elevations around 1500 to 2000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 5 imbricate, brown leafless sheaths and carrying 3 to 4 apical, erect, lanceolate, thick, unevenly and obtusely bilobed apically, gradually narrowing below into the periolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on 1 to 2, wooly hairy, red, 8.6" [23.5 cm] long, to 50 flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the pseudobulb and with large, greenish yellow, reflexed, concave floral bracts. Personally found this near waterfall in Pahang, where it grow on a tree branches overhanging a small stream, with 70 % shade.
